Meet the Proposed Elders

Alison Taylor

PROPOSED ELDER

Hi, I’m Alison and together with my husband, Gavin, we’ve been calling True North our spiritual home for about 7 years now. You’ll generally see us at the Mullaloo Campus, but I’ve also been involved at True North City since its start.

Gavin and I have 2 adult children who are each actively involved in their own Church communities.

I’ve grown up in Church and can’t really remember a time when God wasn’t a part of my life. As an adult, in search of a deeper & more personal faith, I completed a Cert IV in Christian Studies.

In my professional life, I’m a qualified CPA. Gavin & I co-owned and managed a mining services business for over 20 years. I now have the privilege of teaching business owners/managers how to grow their companies. I’m also a Director of a Not-for-profit organisation.

I’ve served in leadership in several churches now. My heart is about being authentic in Christian faith which, to me, means being real about the ups & downs, the Spirit-filled highs and questioning lows that we experience along the way. That’s what I love about True North – it’s a place where you can be real, wherever you are on your faith journey.

Lorraine

PROPOSED ELDER

I have been part of the church community at True North for 15 years. Happily married to an amazing guy, Boz, we have three children who are an absolute blessing to us and a big part of the church family.

As a family we are pretty dynamic, we love music and people. Merriwa campus is our usual place of attendance. I have a passion for worshiping God whole heartedly and pursuing HIs presence. I really enjoy my role as a Worship Leader within the creative team and love writing and working on new songs of praise and worship.

I consider myself as a prayer warrior! – I believe that the power of praise and prayer, are the weapons God uses to change lives and to build His Church.
